SMB Maintenance Options
Many aspects of your business require routine maintenance and your IT equipment is no exception. Ormsby’s Computer Systems offers comprehensive maintenance plans to help make sure your business is streamlined. We work with most operating systems and network systems, and we work with software licensing and hardware sales. Unlike other companies, whose service ends once the purchase is complete, Ormsby’s Computer Systems will service what we sell. We can also service most of your pre-existing equipment.
Scheduled Contract Support (Block Time)
This maintenance option includes a prepaid block of support time and is billed on a monthly basis in advance to the service. Example: One visit per quarter — 8 hour visit.
Support as Needed
This maintenance option offers on-site and remote support for our customers. When you find yourself experiencing a situation which demands immediate attention, we’ll schedule a technician to respond to your request at the first and best available time.
SMB Monthly Maintenance
This maintenance option offers a yearly contract for monthly monitoring and simple maintenance of your Windows Server. Also included is a yearly technology planning secession with your account manager, systems engineer and your key personnel.
Twice a quarter Ormsby’s Computer Systems will remotely access your server and review a predefined list of items. Reporting will be provided via email for reviewing. If something is discovered that needs additional attention we will first request authorization to proceed, then schedule a support call. This will be billed at our regular support rates.
Once each quarter we’ll perform an on-site visit (travel charges may apply). The visit will include updating your core system application: (Virus Protection and Backup), perform server equipment updates: (HP Firmware Updates), and finally, Windows will receive and updates and patches.
SMB Quarterly Maintenance
Your network has a great deal to offer your business. In order to optimize its performance you need to execute back-ups frequently, keep it safe from viruses and keep it in communication with the other network computers and equipment. Ormsby’s Computer Systems helps set up back-up systems, virus detections, security systems, routers, firewalls, automated software maintenance systems, and anything else your network needs to get the job done.
Under the SMB Quarterly Maintenance plan, Ormsby's will visit your location once every quarter to perform a variety of maintenance services. These include:
- Updating core system application (Virus Protection and Backup)
- Updating server equipment (Firmware/Bios Updates)
- Updating Windows and patches
Also included is a yearly technology planning session with your account manager, systems engineer and your key personnel. This session allows Ormsby’s Computer Systems to stay on track with your organization’s goals and make certain we’re providing you with the technology and support you need to advance in the marketplace.

Billing and hours of operation
Time for billable support will include all support time; travel will be billed per hour to the customer site and back, (if applicable). Working hours are from 8 to 5 Monday through Friday, overtime rates would be charged after these hours if requested.
Scheduled Support is invoiced in advance based on the number of hours purchased; support calls are then billed against paid time. Payments for hardware and software are due within 15 days after delivery.
Prior to each scheduled appointment, the customer may choose to send an email to Ormsby’s to supply the engineer with a punch list of things to do.
